Vintage 1964 Mr. Potato Head and his Tooty Fruity Friends set. No box, but seems complete.
Hasbro released the Mr. Potato Head toy in 1952, and it was the first toy to be advertised on TV. The Tooty Fruity Friends kit, introduced in the 1964, and had over 60 pieces and was used to build four additional characters: Katie the Carrot, Kooky the Cucumber, Oscar the Orange, and Pete the Pepper. This set has all the characters, plus 3 boy bodies and a girl for real potatoes, 4 hats, 10 eyes, 5 lips, 5 noses, 10 ears, 12 hands, 10 shoes, 2 eye glasses, 2 pipes, 3 felt mustaches, 8 felt eye brows. All are in great mostly unused condition. This is a great find for any collector. It doesn’t have the box or instructions. Hasbro is on the back of the potato stick bodies.
