3M Scotch 2228 Series Black 65 mil Rubber Mastic Tape measuring 2" X 10' features flame an aggressive, temperature stable mastic adhesive for providing an effective adhesion. Self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape with ethylene propylene rubber backing is ideal for electrical insulating and moisture sealing applications that is also used on copper or aluminum conductors rated at 90 deg C with an emergency overload rating of 130 deg C. Weather and moisture resistant tape is used for both indoor and weather exposed outdoor applications and is conformable for application over irregular surfaces. Tape compatible with solid dielectric cable insulations is flexible over wide temperature range and is used for primary electrical insulation for cable and wire connections rated up to 1000 V or for bus bar connections rated up to 35 kV. It is perfect for moisture seal for service drops, cable and wire connections, ground wire and rod connections.
