This vintage set is perfect for serving a beautiful dessert or fruit for six.
This is a set of six salad plates, four salad bowls, and one large serving bowl in two of Mikasa’s yellow gingham patterns. Specifically this vintage set includes:
- 4 salad plates from the “Checkmates Butternut” pattern each measuring 7.75”.
- 2 salad plates from the “Country Gingham Maize” pattern each measuring 7.75”.
- 4 salad bowls from the “Checkmates” pattern each measuring 6 5/8” in diameter
- 1 serving bowl from the “Checkmates” pattern measuring 9” in diameter 2.5” tall
The two patterns complement each other beautifully.
All pieces are in excellent vintage condition. All pieces of the Checkmates pattern have virtually no issues at all. The two “Country Gingham” plates show slight wear. There are a few light scratches on the plates - but nothing egregious. There are no chips on any of the pieces.
All of these dishes (both patterns) were made in Japan between 1974 - 1976.
