Building a kit airplane can be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding projects of a lifetime. One goal of this book is to help prospective kit airplane builders determine if they have what it takes to be successful before starting a kit airplane project, by answering questions like, “Do I have the ability to build a kit airplane? How much space do I need? How much is it going to cost? How long will it take? What tools do I need? How do I balance project time with family life?”During my airplane project a significant amount of time was devoted to learning about aircraft construction, researching components and understanding the process for making the airplane airworthy. I would like to pass this knowledge on to first-time builders to improve their likelihood of success, and so they save time and build a better airplane the first time. The book contains over 300 color photographs and diagrams.
